Why Discount Printer Ink?

By Ink Mart | Sep 10, 2008

It saves you money…
Plain and simple, discount ink saves you money! You can get generic quality ink cartridges at up to 75% off any OEM (Original Equipment Manufacture). Even the companies and people that require high quality print jobs (photographers, graphic artists, etc…) are finding the benefits of using discount ink. Don’t you get tired of paying more money for your ink cartridges than you did for your printer?

So what’s the difference anyway?
What a great question! There are basically three kinds of ink cartridges: OEM, compatible and remanufactured.

  • OEM – This stands for Original Equipment Manufacture. An OEM cartidge is a cartridge that is manufactured by the manufacturer of your printer. For instance…a name brand Epson® cartridge for an Epson® printer.
  • Compatible - These are NEW cartridges which are not OEM (non-OEM). They are generally filled with high quality ink and designed to the OEM specifications of the printer.
  • Remanufactured – These are used or recycled cartridges which are refilled with high quality ink. When you use an ink refill kit, you are “remanufacturing” your own cartridge. You can also send your cartridges away to be professionally filled.
